Beaver State Woodturners of Oregon welcomes you.

Who We Are
Beaver State Woodturners  (BSWT) is a local woodturning chapter of the American Association of Woodturners whose purpose is to promote the craft of woodturning. Our members come from Springfield, Eugene and surrounding areas of Lane County and beyond. We are all-volunteer, self-funding, and registered with the IRS as a non-profit 501(c)(3). A monthly newsletter is sent to all members. We welcome all levels from beginner to advanced and there is always someone willing to help.

Meetings
M
onthly meetings include a demonstration of different woodturning techniques and a sharing of completed projects, various woodturning ideas, and a wood raffle. There is a weekly Zoom "Coffee Break" each Saturday morning where we discuss wood, woodturning and anything the attendees decide. Our monthly meetings are held at Coburg Community Charter School cafeteria the fourth Thursday of each month (the third Thursday if there is a holiday) from 6 to 8 PM.  The address is 91274 N Coburg Rd, Coburg, OR 97408. The first meeting is free. For directions to the cafeteria click this Map to cafeteria link.

Community Activities
BSWT also participates and promotes community activities such as Coburg Charter School “Skills Days” and their annual fundraising auction, Madison Middle School student mentoring, “Pens for the Troops”, and “Empty Bowls” for Food for Lane County.

Let us know if you have a tree or are planning to take down a tree or have other wood you would like to donate. If it is a tree over 12 inches in diameter, club members will take the trunk and large branches of your tree(s) away. Our insurance does not allow club members to take down trees but we can cut them up when the tree has been taken down by you or your tree service. Certain types of trees are not usable so, to find out about your tree, email beaverstatewoodturners@gmail.com or call

541-510-9857. We would appreciate it.
